Abstract

Food refusal samples from 10 German processing plants were analysed quantitatively for the contents of the heavy metals Pb, Cd, As, and Hg, Deoxynivalenol, Zearalenon, PCB, CKW, PCDD/F and qualitatively on feed additives and pharmaceuticals. The contents were below the actual legal maximal residue level or the actual standard and orientation residue level respectively.

With regard to the investigated undesired substances in these samples, there are no restrictions for the use of processed food-refusals as feeding-stuff for growing-finishing pigs.
